SOCRATIVE  I asked someone who sat next to me what they did for a communicate L3 tool of choice, and they suggested Socrative. And I really liked this tool! She told me it was hard to use, but I really liked figuring out how this would work! I would absolutely use this in the classroom! I really liked how it was so easy to create a math quiz, for my 2nd graders! It gave me the options of what kind of quiz to do, along with what kind of answers. So multiple choice, true or false, and short answer. And giving the options of adding a pictures with your questions. Which was perfect for this topic, because the students have to recognize the shapes of circles, hexagons, etc. So for them to have a visual right there on the screen was so helpful. Other features about this tool are the other options of quizzes you can give.Different forms, and visual quizzes. TIKI TOKI I made a tiki toki for a 3rd grade science lesson. Which entails how to decide between living and non living organism. But my review of Tiki Toki is that I wouldn't use this. I didn't like how complicated it seemed to be. I had to watch a few tutorial videos to be able to figure out how to work it. And I still don't think I know how to work it very well. I got the hang of it the more I used it.  I liked the overall layout of it, but I don't think I picked a good lesson for Tiki Toki. For example, a good example would be to have a Tiki Toki as a history lesson, showing a timeline. Because thats what I have seen what tiki toki seems to be.  I didn't like this tool, and I wouldn't use it. But it was a good thing for me to try and learn because I had to seek out videos to try and learn how to use it.  I tried to put video links onto the slides, but I don't know how to access them now. ANIMOTO I used Animoto to show different ways for an active lessons. This was an interesting choice on my part, because the kids needs to be active to learn these things! But they could watch and interact with the images and pictures, and then move to an area to be able to do the actions. So they learn by seeing, then they can apply what they learned from what they learned at their own pace through the slideshow video. I chose a difficult topic to use for Animoto. But I think with something science related would work very well. But having the kids learn something like jumping is kind of hard. But it works well. If I were to use this in the classroom, I would do different topics. Its good and quick! Somethings I didn't like about Animoto, were the templates. Even though they are free, I didn't like how there wasn't just a plain one to be able to create your own. Including transitions. You can eventually change them. PADLET Nutrition and Fitness  I liked the tool Padlet, it is a L2 for collaborate.  I liked this tool, because it was easy for me to create. And it'll be easy for the students to use.  Its a simple tool, you find links and pictures, and create text boxes with short statements of vital information. PROS: 1. Extremely easy to navigate the tool. 2. Easy to have the students use 3. Very Interactive 4. Reaches different types of learning, with reading of texts, watching videos, seeing pictures, and its all on a computer. 5. When this could be on a worksheet, but it is done on a screen, which is better for the younger generation and how they learn. CONS: none I would use this tool, and you can have the kids make one as well! Searching their own information, and putting it into their own project. YOUTUBE Oh the power of YouTube! I love YouTube. I use it weekly, especially for studying. Understanding topics that aren't that clear to me. There is so much too YouTube!  I decided to do a language lesson with YouTube. So I picked 6 videos. I picked Spanish, because I could teach the kids inside the classroom, as well as have them review their learning through YouTube. I am able to speak Spanish to the kids, and we could both understand each other. And apply the learning throughout the classroom time.  The videos I picked can be taught in class as well, as in home. Or they can use the play list on their iPads. 1. A video of the basic numbers 1-20 2. Learning about the Months. 3. The Days of the Week 4. Simple Food Items 5. The alphabet 6. GOOGLE FORMS I am so grateful for Google. I have always liked Google. It quick, it is easy. And it is free!!! Apple and Google will soon run the world, but thats just my personal opinion! I decided to do a Google forms, of a get to know you form. So this would be something that I would incorporate into my classroom. Before school starts, or during the first few days of school. There is a series of questions that helps me get to know the student, as a child. Then it continues as questions to get to know them as a student. These two views are important to me as a teacher, I want to get to know how the student works, and how I can work with them the best I can.  I could use the Google Forms as something much more formal as well. PICKTOCHART                           I got so frustrated with this one.. I don't even know where to begin! It was such a cool tool, you look at it, and it looks so intriguing and it grabs your attention! Thats what made me first want to do it!As I started to do the tool, I found myself extremely frustrated, and not wanting to continue doing it. But I already felt like I was in too deep in a sense. So I kept going! I like how it looks, and thats probably the only thing I like about it! It might be easy to other people, but I just kept getting so frustrated.
